Great place for overnight stop 
This was the 3rd time we have stopped this hotel.Its very clean, the staff are helpful and friendly and it is ideal for a overnight stay.The rooms are of a good standard and very good for the price you pay. The "complimentary" Breakfast is of a good standard and includes cereals,fruit,yogurts,toast,sausage,scrambled egg ,beans,fruit juice,a large selection of hot drinks.
In the bar area they have Sky Sports.

Friendly staff I feel that when I am not happy I would only tell those persons concerned, but when I am very happy I would like to share this with others like I am now.
On the 27th till the 29th October 2011 my Husband and I had to go to Burnley for our Sisters wedding, but we were not sure where we were going to stay at, After looking on Tip advisor we decided to book in at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel. Well I am so glad that we did. Basically the bedroom was lovely, modern, clean and the food was great.
The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating only a 4 is because there was not enough clothes hanging space. But, the thing which has made me want to return back there is this, the staff was outstanding, very friendly doing their job.

Very nice stay . we will return soon the rooms where of a good standard clean and had all the bits you would expect ie shampoo and bits . well thought out shower room with all the bits . air con worked well . tv good size . could not fault the room

FANTASTIC We are a group of 4 sisters who were celebrating our eldest sisters 50th, We had been for a lovely spa day during the day and part of the special deal we stayed here with evening meal and breakfast.
The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean and fabulous bathroom facilities. Very modern and upto date.
A massive plus for the hotel is their friendly staff. Every member of staff was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They young man who took our evening meal order went into detail regarding certain meals, nothing was too much trouble (unfortunately I didn't take his name otherwise I would have named him),
Would definately recommend to anyone... First class hotel......

Nice Suprise I am very familiar with the Express brand standards. I have to say this hotel surprised me. I had a superb check in with a very friendly member of staff who dealt with me efficiently.
The rooms are excellent for an Express with a large flat panel television with numerous channels. The room was modern, clean and tidy. As a platinum member of the priority club I was given free internet access and a bottle of water.
Breakfast was good -not the usual cold buffet type affair; though this was available also. There was bacon, egg, beans, toast, etc.
Overall an excellent stay. Other Express locations should take note!

Very convenient location as a base travelling by car A very good hotel, and a good base particularly for motorway access. Well kept and fairly new hotel.

Fantastic value for money Spacious family room, very clean and modern hotel. Staff at reception excellent. Fantastic value for money, around the £50 mark for the room including breakfast for four people! Breakfast nothing special, toast, sausages, scrambled egg and drinks but at this price who am I to grumble! Would definitely return for overnight stop again.
